Tikijian Associates is a boutique brokerage firm specializing exclusively in the representation of owners of multihousing communities in Indiana and Kentucky. The company was formed in early 2005 by George Tikijian, one of Indiana’s most respected real estate brokers. Tikijian Associates was founded with the specific goal of offering the highest achievable level of client service in the evaluation, marketing and sale of apartment communities.

Prior to founding Tikijian Associates, George spent 20+ years as a multihousing broker with the Indianapolis office of CB Richard Ellis. Among many other accomplishments, he (1) built a database which currently includes over 1,500 apartment projects and 4,000 potential investors; (2) consistently was the top producer of CB Richard Ellis’ Multi-Housing Properties Group; and (3) has become generally recognized as the foremost authority on multihousing properties in Indiana, each year conducting the Indiana Apartment Industry Outlook as part of the Indiana Apartment Association Convention.

George and his team have brokered 245 multihousing transactions totaling over $1.8 billion with 55,000 units.

Tikijian Associates is licensed to broker sales throughout Indiana and Kentucky. We have occasionally cooperated with brokers in Ohio to facilitate transactions there as well.

Tikijian Associates is pleased to announce the sale of Westminster Apartments, a 438-unit community located in Greenwood, a southern suburb of Indianapolis. Tikijian Associates represented the seller/receiver, Barrett & Stokely, on behalf of special servicer, Midland Loan Services. The listing price was $8,000,000.

     
 

Tikijian Associates is pleased to announce the sale of Stonehedge, a 251-unit apartment community located on the east side of Evansville in southern Indiana. Tikijian Associates represented loan special servicer Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, LLC in the sale. Berkadia became the special servicer as the result of its acquisition of the loan origination and servicing business of Capmark Financial Group in December of 2009. Berkadia is a joint venture of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., and Leucadia National Corporation.

     
 

Tikijian Associates is pleased to announce the sale of Indianapolis’ second largest apartment community, the 1,261-unit Lake Castleton Apartments. Lake Castleton is located at Shadeland Avenue and 75th St. on Indianapolis’ northeast side, just outside of the Interstate-465 loop. Tikijian Associates represented the seller, Apartment Investment & Management Company (AIMCO), one of the nation’s largest apartment owners with over 950 communities and 150,000 units.

     
 

Tikijian Associates is pleased to announce the April 1st 2010 sale of Christian Place Apartments, a historic apartment community located at 9th & Alabama, Downtown Indianapolis. Tikijian represented the seller, Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana (which has since been renamed Indiana Landmarks), in the sale to an Indianapolis private investor. Indiana Landmarks states that its mission is to serve as a private organization that “revitalizes communities, reconnects us to our heritage, and saves meaningful places.”

     
 

Tikijian Associates is pleased to announce the sale of Turtle Bay Estates, a 173 lot manufactured housing community located in Syracuse, Indiana. Tikijian represented the court-appointed receiver, McKinley, Inc and Midland Loan Services in the sale to FR Syracuse. The asking price was $3,500,000.
